the motor made 30 psi on that pass. tires where set @ 12psi it did break the tires all the way through first gear and it ran 11.40's @ 119 on d.o.t. tires front and rear. i I'm still trying to dial in the suspension. notice the track guy scrubbing the crap of the line when I was waiting for the burnout.

the carb had a huge flat spot so instead of wasting the entire run, I just waited for the motor to catch up before i left. better to have a shitty reaction then a 16 sec e/t! :shifty:

its funny because this turbo only made 18 psi here and in phoenix, but the air in fontana must have been killer that day. carb id a bg blower carb and the turbo was a 60-1 hifi. but I killed that one and am replacing it with a custom ceramic bb turbo from marty staggs.

hmm. 60-1 on 30psi should have you in the 9s easy. (depending on motor)
my buds street car, 2110 gt30r holley runs 10.0@133 on mild tune at 22 psi. 60-1 is close to 3076R.
hmmm what motor is in your car...1600...JK..lol.

It is easy. what im trying to say is, with a 60-1 at 30psi id expect the engine (2.0'ish properly tuned) to be making in the 500 hp range. The numbers your running says your making around 3-330 range. awful soft Hp, unless you can explain that you have a tiny motor, or are running like 16 degrees total timing.
if i know you like i remember, you have a big motor in the thing.. lol. Car runs good dont get me wrong, i like it. :) i just want it to run what it looks like. looks like it goes 150mph just sitting there.

What are you doing with the 60-1 your getting rid of? I have the same turbo and could use parts.

Dont need em. Just use experience. If your implying your making less.. i feel bad for you. if your implying your making more then the driver/steup is the issue.
My guess is engine size and or tune. Cause that vid looks like you drive ok, and the car sounds decent.
You should know by now mph determines HP. Car is heavy, needs more to perform the same as a lighter car.
Just wish id see your car out at the track consistently. Always there, no vws. :(

Dave I see you obviously go out to alot of these local drags. Aarons cars first pass was Phoenix. I think fontana may have only been the 2nd or 3rd. Im sure we'll start seeing alot more of him along with better tuned and lower times. I for one am impressed that fastback is on the track running those times. Considering that my old 66 couldnt do 100mph in a mile let alone a 1/4. :)

im trying to answer these questions honestly so please dont take offense. :P

"My guess is engine size and or tune. Cause that vid looks like you drive ok, and the car sounds decent."
thanks, the motor was built in 1995.

"Just wish id see your car out at the track consistently".
its pricey to race and after getting up @ 3am its a stretch for me to load up and haul everything out to the speedway and get my help there also. the car is new and relitively untested. it only have about ten passes on it.

"Always there, no vws."
where are all these other fast cars this town has to offer?
do you have or had a drag car?

"You should know by now mph determines HP. Car is heavy, needs more to perform the same as a lighter car."
thats painfully obvious.

"if your implying your making more then the driver/steup is the issue."
I havent been back to the dyno to iron out the new carb yet so it could be both. hey, im still getting used to the car.

"If your implying your making less.. i feel bad for you."
thanks for the sympathy.

"Dont need em. Just use experience. "
like many of these forums it seems like they can offer up lots of internet "know how" but do you have much real world expirience? so if you want to help out feel free.
on it.
