raggdout63 wrote: Dave I see you obviously go out to alot of these local drags. Aarons cars first pass was Phoenix. I think fontana may have only been the 2nd or 3rd. Im sure we'll start seeing alot more of him along with better tuned and lower times. I for one am impressed that fastback is on the track running those times. Considering that my old 66 couldnt do 100mph in a mile let alone a 1/4. thanks, finaly some positive feedback!

efi67vw wrote: im trying to answer these questions honestly so please dont take offense. "My guess is engine size and or tune. Cause that vid looks like you drive ok, and the car sounds decent." thanks, the motor was built in 1995. "Just wish id see your car out at the track consistently". its pricey to race and after getting up @ 3am its a stretch for me to load up and haul everything out to the speedway and get my help there also. the car is new and relitively untested. it only have about ten passes on it. "Always there, no vws." where are all these other fast cars this town has to offer? do you have or had a drag car? "You should know by now mph determines HP. Car is heavy, needs more to perform the same as a lighter car." thats painfully obvious. "if your implying your making more then the driver/steup is the issue." I havent been back to the dyno to iron out the new carb yet so it could be both. hey, im still getting used to the car. "If your implying your making less.. i feel bad for you." thanks for the sympathy. "Dont need em. Just use experience. " like many of these forums it seems like they can offer up lots of internet "know how" but do you have much real world expirience? so if you want to help out feel free. on it. I dont take offense. Never have. I ask questions and or call people on stuff i see, and they get defensive. Things havent changed. Its mighytmouse dillweevil. If you forgot already. Its only been a few short years. Its good to see you finally getting down the track. Think i been watching you "attempt" for about 12 years. Yes ive had a few drag cars, dont have one at current due to economy. As for experience, i was going fast back when you were talking about going fast. And i still do now. Im at the track setting up cars and advising clients, waiting to see ANYONE from here show up and hang out with us. Im not saying im don garlits, just enjoy the sport. Come on out sometime. Call when you do. Thats what brandon did. Just called me. lol 702-506-3287. Remember that number now aaron?

Thats true. dont wanna be a hippocrite. I was just telling brandon (butcher) how hard it is to make ac vw go 9s,let alone 8s or 7s. BUT. i have learned alot in the last 5 years. I know alot more can be done now, due to technology. I learn new stuff each day, and just add it to my memory bank. Cant ever know it all. damnit i try though.. hehe.

I think you are kickin ass with only a few runs under your belt, street tires, limited budget, and a hevy ass car. You'll be in the 10s in no time. Keep it up homie. Whatd i miss.... wheres the douchebag.....
